Week 40: My World Stopped

Standard

(I wrote this a month ago… and then baby happened!)

I thought I was going to be writing about just me and my belly again this week, but that quickly changed at the end of my 40 week appointment on Tuesday.

Charlotte Rose Eaton was born, 1 day late, on June 11, 2014 – The past month has been a whirlwind.

OK let me do a quick recap of the week before baby and then I’ll fill you in on our new wonderful addition to the family! The birth story will come later – I need Josh to go through a lot of it with me again and help me remember – it was such a blur!

We celebrated our 6 Year anniversary on Saturday which consisted of a morning walk to the farmers market, picnic in the park and dinner at one of our favorite Italian Restaurants.

We ate at Mama Carolla’s the night before I found out I was pregnant, so we thought it might be a good luck charm and put me into labor that night… not so much 🙂 But it was a lovely night and I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

The week was spent relaxing, with a bit of anxiousness built up around when this baby would come. Saturday and Sunday were needed.

We got to see my best frineds beautiful 1 month old boy Brooks – you met him earlier on the blog. OOO I love those cheeks I could smush them all day!

We did a bit of cleaning and a big grocery run so the house is clean and happy.

Size of Baby E: Officially 7 lbs 14 oz adn 21.5 inches!

Best moment of the week: Celebrating our 6 year wedding anniversary on Saturday was fantastic. I needed a day of pure relaxation and happiness.

Obsessions/Cravings? Thinking about baby. I spent every night falling asleep to what baby will look like and how our life will change.

Workouts: This week I got in 3 or so 3.5 mile runs but the last few days have been long walks. Not so much because I don’t feel that my body wants me to run, more mentally I’m starting to consider the risk heavier if I trip and fall. I don’t feel clumsy, but I can’t stand the thought that I trip over anything or fall and after 10 months of taking good care of Baby E I fall and hurt myself or them

Movement: Still moving. Movements are definitely lower – shifting a lot with an occasional kick or punch – but as I mentioned this babe is running out of room. I keep telling E that there is a lot of room on the outside – they should come out and play! (Same as last week!)

Symptoms: Still topping the list is impatience 🙂 But swollen ankles and insomnia are close 2nd and 3rd!

**After I wrote this, on June 10th I went in for my 40 week appointment and didn’t leave the hospital. Lottie didn’t pass the non stress test and we knew she was telling us it was time for her to come out!

Stay tune for the birth story and monthly updates, like I said, It’s been a whirlwind and I cant wait to share my adventures with you our little Lottie!
